Grab That 20 Minute Workout: Yoga at Home

Yoga at HomeWho doesn’t love a good workout. But, if you are pressed for time like I am, the quicker the workout the better. I figure why not. I am working on what needs to be done in the short time that I have.

I have challenged myself to a few simple things I hope to share with you today. I hope we can start together.

I have decided to restart yoga. I used to do a few simple moves that my personal trainer taught me a few years back. Ok. It has been more than a few years ago, but you understand. I learned how to do some yoga poses that would help me in stretching my lower back.

Having three children at that time with three epidurals, I had a lot of lower back pain at that time. It did not help me that my place of employment dealt with a lot of heavy lifting. My goal at the time was to strengthen my back and lose my baby weight I was still carrying.

However, now my goal for exercising is slightly different. Yes, to lose a couple of pounds for overall good health. Accompanied, with eating better. I have chosen yoga for overall good health and mental health. I know yoga has proven to calm the body, mind, and soul. I am definitely looking for a calmer state of mind.

As mothers, we tend to go crazy with our daily duties for our household, our places of employment, and our families. We could use some time-out for some serenity. Yoga is a great place to start.

You do not have to go to a gym to join a yoga class in order to obtain that piece of mind. Yoga is an activity you can do at home. If you are unsure of the proper poses for the type of piece of mind you would like, the Yoga Journal has some great articles with step by step instruction you can choose from. For instance, if you are looking to improve your lower back just as I did, you can go to the Yoga Journal and look up poses for the lower back.

I have added some quick links to the Yoga Journal. I have found them to be very helpful in my search for the yoga poses I like to do. For my new journey, I have chosen to do yoga poses for my digestive system. It is something I have yet to try.

I challenge my readers and myself to find a particular area you would like to improve & go to Instagram and use the following hashtag (#SD_Moms4Serenity  & #SD_Women4Serentiy if you are not a mom) of your photo you in a yoga pose. Of course, you will have to have someone help you take this photo. But, have fun & enjoy the relaxation you will start to bring to your life. I know I will.

I was so thankful to the people at Positive Health Wellness for sharing with me there Yoga infographic. I found this infographic to be helpful quick read you can grab & use to inspire some must do yoga poses. These are simple & I enjoy them. I wanted to share them with you. I am in no way receiving any money for sharing there content with you. They only thing I am receiving is the shared info of this page to more readers & get them exercising their way to better health.
