work and home

Do you ever feel there are just not enough hours in the day? Balancing the work life and the home life. You are not alone. In today’s society, there are statistically more working moms then in previous years. According to the US Department of Labor, there is 70% of Women with Families working in today’s labor force.

That is a large number of women that have to leave their children in the care of someone else while they work to provide for them. That is a huge stress added to the mothers in the work force. Not adding to the everyday stresses of a 9-5 job.

I am a person that loves to give my all to everyone. It just simply doesn’t work that way all the time. A mother of four with a husband, a full-time job & a startup company of my own, there simply isn’t enough hours in the day for me. It always hits me when I find my self tired and not done with all the tasks I deem for myself to do in each day.

I found myself realizing this fact last night. I had a mile long list of to do’s after I left my 9-5. House chores, Writing, Editing, Business Items, Eating and Relaxing. Yes, I added eating and relaxing to my list. I sometimes forget to do those things and run myself down.

Why do we continually do that to ourselves as women? We have a to do list that is a mile long. If I knew the reason to that million dollar question, you know the rest.

I certainly don’t plan that to happen often. As I know most of us don’t. It just seems to be that we like to please the people we care about and the other factor is that we simply have to work.

The easiest way to combat that overwhelming feeling of not enough hours in the day would be to simply reduce the items of your list. See if there is someone who can assist you in some of the items on that list and start delegating.

Hope this will help you by giving you some ideas to reducing the load you have to take on everyday.

Happy Balancing!!
