chicken lettuce wraps

Everyone knows I love me some chicken lettuce wraps. As you can see pictured above is the recent visit to the City Wok Studio City location. If it’s a lettuce wrap, I am down to try it.  It’s just a matter of are you are serving the best one.

I was first introduced to this fresh healthy appetizer while I was on a date with my husband. Our favorite restaurant used to be the Elephant Bar. Favorite because it had many different types of food that we both loved. It just depend on the type of food we were craving at the time. Well, it may even had been the fact that it was the first place we went on our first date.

I loved, absolutely loved the Elephant Bar lettuce wraps. It was fast fresh and filling for a bird picker like me. Not that I was afraid of eating in front of my husband back then, it is just the way I am. I love to eat at times & other times I eat like a bird. Meaning I don’t eat very much. It just depends on the appetite at the time.

It’s been quite some time where I was not able to eat at my favorite restaurant. They closed done. For some reason or another, it was my time to see if I wanted to venture out and try another place.

Well, not so long ago I finally decided to give some one else a try. That’s right! I stepped out of my food comfort zone & went for it. I tried the local City Wok in Studio City and absolutely loved it!! Yes, I ordered me the Chicken Lettuce Wraps for lunch and it was very filling. The portions were great. As you can see from the picture above it looks great too.

I suggest you venture out and try some in your neighborhood. Here is the link to the City Wok. If you are in town you should stop by. If not, I have found a recipe on Food Network that looks yummy!!! Check it out and let me know how you like it.

Their Almost-Famous Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe, Courtesy of Food Network Kitchen. I even look forward to trying this one.
