A childhood favorite is the average fish stick. But, if you are like me, I do like to give my children ideas to have something a bit on the healthy side. Why not serve their favorite in a whole new way?
Of course, you can serve fish sticks the same old way if your child is not up to trying something new. However, if you are looking for a new way to serve their favorite, you’ve come to the right place. I have found a few great recipes for you to try.
I love Gorton’s Fish Sticks. I don’t know about you, but they just seem to taste better than the non-name brand fish sticks. They are available generally at every store I go to with a few exceptions. They are fast and easy to make. Just pop them in the oven, make your side dishes you want either for the “new” ideas I have here or for your everyday regular meal, fish sticks with sides.
My kids love them either way. Ok, I do have one picky eater. So 3 out of 4 kids is a winner for me. My one picky eater will just eat it with the a tortilla or a taco shell without any toppings. Considering that he is open to eating it a different way is a great defeat for me.
I know those of you that have that picky eater at home understand what I am talking about. Getting them to venture out for a new item is a strong task for you. Let me say this, it is so worth the time and effort. Just to get them open to new ideas of eating is great. I hope you and your kids will enjoy these different ways to serve that old kid favorite.
