There are different reasons we labor and choose to be in the working labor force. The absolute main reason for many are the mighty dollar. Yes, I said it. The mighty dollar. The mighty dollar sounds funny when we say it, but in actuality it is a major part in today’s society for many to work.
In some industries the wage is not enough for one to support a whole family of four or even a family of six. Both parents need to work in some way shape or form. Now, there are some that are doing great enough that one parent can stay home. I say to those, that’s great!!
When I was pregnant with my first child and asked that very question, “are you going to stay home?” I was so insulted. Perhaps, because at the time I had a different mentality. I had to provide for my family, so that means I have to work. Now, I would say if someone asked me would I stay at home. The answer would be very different.
Yes! If, I can earn a living while staying at home, raising my children, being able to enjoy both sides. I would definitely do it.
I do have to give it up to the stay at home moms. That’s hard work literally. I do know many stay at home moms that work from home. I think it’s a blessing. Kudos to you!
It is a great thing to be productive in life. As a parent, a laborer outside the home and in the home, it is a good thing to do.
As a young adult I didn’t understand the full reason why I would see older generations working when I thought you shouldn’t have to. As I grew older and wiser, I understood.
It is always a good thing to be productive. It keeps you healthy. Think about it. If you weren’t a productive individual what would you be doing, nothing. Which would leave your body unhealthy and bring on aches and pains that would not have been there prior to. Productivity keeps us healthy by having us exercise. For instance, in being productive in your yard gardening gives your bones & muscles exercise. Not to mention you mind and soul. It can be calming and soothing to the soul to be one with nature.
So here’s a big cheers to us laborers. Happy Labor Day!!
