This book is a must read!! I give it 5 stars!!

I came across the book “Woman of God” by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro on Audible as I was searching through the James Patterson catalog.

I was very intrigued by the title. It caught my eye. Had me think to myself, I am a woman of God. What might this book be about?

Plus,  if you have ever read a James Patterson book you know he’s a great writer. It did have me thinking about the genre of the book. I thought he wrote primarily crime fiction novels. So, I did a little digging.  What could this book be trying to bring across to its readers?

In reading this book, it was my first introduction to Maxine Paetro. But, the combination of the two writers proved to me to be great! I had no idea they have been co-writing books for quite some time.

I listened to this book on Audible in a short period of time. I could not stop listening to it. It had me by the ear literally. I found it to be great! I listened while I drove around town, on lunch breaks. Every time I had to my self, I took it to listen to this book. Busy mom of 4, listening to the book worked great for me.

This book is narrated by Therese Plummer. She brought across the written words wonderfully.

“Woman of God” takes you on a journey of a young woman from Boston, Brigid Fitzgerald.

It’s her life’s journey to do the right thing at all cost.

Written in the first person from the main character, Brigid Fitzgerald. She decides she needs to go across the world to the Sudan as a traveling doctor to aid those in need. Along the way, she has several eye-opening experiences in which she questions her faith in herself and in God. All the while building close relationships with those who work with her.

Brigid’s personal convictions in doing what’s right and in humanity gain her some enemies. In what you may think will scare the majority of people, she takes on every trial from the streets of Boston, the war zone in the Sudan, and even the Holy City, the Vatican, with grace and conviction.

Yes, Vatican City, where a new pope is to be made. At the call from the current Pope, Brigid has a meeting with him that seems to question where the thought of the “new age” Catholic religion should move forward to.

“Woman of God” is a must read, recommended book. Whether you decide to purchase an actual book, listen to it in audio. I know you will not be disappointed.
